Pre-Compounded Resins

Pre-compounded resins are custom-formulated materials that combine the base polymer with additives such as colorants, glass fiber, UV stabilizers, flame retardants, impact modifiers, or other performance-enhancing ingredients before they reach the molding press. By using pre-compounded materials, manufacturers achieve greater consistency from lot to lot, improved processing, and predictable mechanical and cosmetic properties. We work closely with leading compounders and resin suppliers to source custom formulations that meet the exact performance, regulatory, and aesthetic requirements of your application.

Resins We Process

Acetals (POM) excellent dimensional stability, low friction, high stiffness. Common in gears, bearings, fasteners.

Nylons (PA6, PA66, glass-filled) strong, heat-resistant, great wear properties. Used in structural and mechanical components.

Polyolefins (PP, PE) chemical resistance, flexibility, low cost. Ideal for containers, caps, consumer goods.

ABS rigid, impact-resistant, easy to process. Standard for housings, enclosures, consumer products.

Polycarbonate (PC) high impact strength, optical clarity, heat resistance. Used in lenses, enclosures, medical components.

TPE / Thermoplastic Elastomers rubber-like flexibility with thermoplastic processability. Over-molding, grips, seals.

Urethanes abrasion resistance, flexibility across a range of durometers. Functional components and over-molded surfaces.

High-performance engineering plastics PEEK, PPS, and other specialty resins for demanding thermal, chemical, or structural applications.

Glass-filled grades nylon, polycarbonate, and other resins enhanced with glass fiber for increased strength and stiffness.

One Resin We Do Not Process

New England Molding does not work with PVC due to safety and health considerations in our facility. If your design specifies PVC, our engineering team can recommend alternative materials that meet your performance requirements.
